First Time College Student

First time taking college classes? No worries! We've got your back.

Here's a step-by-step guide to take you from here all the way to being an enrolled student!

Apply for Financial Aid through the FAFSA. Every year billions of dollars of federal financial aid are left unspent. Apply even if you've applied before or if you don't think you'd be eligible!

Remember, it's never too early or too late to apply for financial aid. Get started at studentaid.gov the 4Cs school code is 002168

Your My4Cs portal is your one-stop for accessing all your online student information. Accessing your school e-mail, paying your bill, viewing your schedule, taking your online classes, and more can all be found in your portal. Here’s how to get access:

  1. Log into My4Cs. Then login for the first time using your 4Cs e-mail and password.
  2. Your e-mail is firstname.lastname@vbj4.com (such as  john.doe@vbj4.com). Note: If you listed a preferred first name on your registration, use that.
  3. Your password for your initial login is CapecodStudentID (such as Capecod123456). The first C  in Capecod  is capitalized.

Note: It can take up to 24 hours for your 4Cs account to become active after you’re accepted. If you need any technical assistance, please contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@vbj4.com

Students who have graduated from high school within the past ten years are required to submit their official high school transcript.  Please contact your high school guidance office and request to have your transcript sent directly to Cape Cod Community College by mail or email.

Prior College/Transfer Student

Transferring from another college or university into 4Cs? Here's a step-by-step guide to take you from your current College all the way to being an enrolled student at 4Cs.

Completing the FAFSA application is an important part of starting your college career. Every year billions of dollars of unused federal financial aid are left unspent. Apply even if you don't think you'd be eligible! It's quick and we're here to help you if you need support. Just visit Federal Student Aid to begin. The 4Cs School Code is 002168

Already filled out the FAFSA for another college? Just log back into your Federal Student Aid account and add "Cape Cod Community College" to your school list. It's that simple

Contact your previous college or university and request to have your transcript sent directly to the Cape Cod Community College Admissions Office. Most official transcripts can be requested electronically through your previous college's website. Official transcripts must come directly from the other institution in an official sealed envelope or by official email.

Transcripts from outside of the United States must be translated and evaluated by a third-party agency. We accept evaluations from: Center for Educational Documentation, World Education Services, or Spantran.

Do You Qualify for Free College?

Massachusetts residents 25 years of age or older can take advantage of this life-changing opportunity to earn an associate degree or certificate for free.

Eligible individuals must:

  • • Be 25 or older on the first day of classes.
  • • Have been a permanent legal resident of Massachusetts for at least one year at start of the enrolled term.
  • • Have not previously received an associate or bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
  • • Enroll in at least six credits per semester in an approved program of study leading to an associate degree or certificate.
  • • Maintain satisfactory academic progress according to the college’s requirements.
  • • Complete the 23-24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

How to take advantage:

You've already applied and have been accepted, now you just need to complete the FAFSA and register for classes!
