Funeral Service Program
Meet Caroline Flanagan, a Norwood, MA native, in the funeral service program. Caroline always knew she wanted to pursue a career in funeral service and found 4Cs to be the perfect fit.
"I wanted to come to 4C's specifically for the funeral service program. I also love the community at 4C's which was a big deal for me when choosing a school and program," Caroline explained.
Caroline's love for funeral service was sparked by personal experience. "I had a death in the family and then saw a movie that had involved some people who worked in a funeral home and it got the idea in my head and started to look into jobs and schools," she shared.
Caroline's favorite thing about the funeral service program is the people and teachers. "It's a little community, we have events here at the campus in Bridgewater. We do fun labs and experiments, and our professors are always helpful as well with any question I've had."
Professor Shea and Professor Silva have been Caroline's faculty mentors throughout her time at 4Cs. "They are super helpful and are easy to talk to," Caroline gushed.
"The faculty is super helpful and involved in student life," Caroline noted when asked about her favorite thing about 4Cs.
Caroline has big plans for the future. "I want to get my state and national funeral directors license and work in a funeral home. I plan on moving at some point to somewhere with warmer weather," she said.
Caroline's advice to new students is simple: "4C's is definitely very involved in student life and everyone is super helpful, so if you ever have questions, reach out to the faculty. They are great."
With Caroline's determination and love for funeral service, we have no doubt that she will make a significant impact in her field and beyond.
